Introducing Piccolina's exclusive Helen Keller Short Sleeve Trailblazer Tee! This 100% cotton t-shirt celebrates the work and legacy of the inspiring author and disability rights advocate. It is illustrated by artist Noa Snir and features a timeless portrait of Helen Keller.Helen Adams Keller (1880-1968) was an American author, disability rights advocate, political activist, and lecturer. She was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama, losing her sight and hearing at the age of nineteen months to an illness now believed to have been scarlet fever. Upon receiving instruction from teacher Anne Mansfield Sullivan, Keller learned to read and write in Braille and use the hand signals of the deaf-mute, which she could understand only by touch. She graduated cum laude from Radcliffe College in 1904 and published her first book, The Story of My Life, during her junior year at Radcliffe. Keller received many honors in recognition of her accomplishments in overcoming her disabilities, and her courage and dedication have made her a symbol of the triumph of the human spirit over adversity. This special Helen Keller Short Sleeve Trailblazer Tee is the perfect way for your loved one to celebrate their inner leader and all that Helen Keller has contributed to our society. Machine wash cold and tumble dry low for maximum quality and longevity. Made in Peru.
