This Lorena Canals Bannock Wool Washable Area Rug is part of the Hopi Collection, inspired by the oldest North American tribe in the continent - The Hopi Community. This American Indian culture is deeply rooted in spirituality. They strongly believe that everything including objects contains a soul given to it by nature. The designer, Lorena Canals, shares a similar belief in that even businesses have a spirit.
This Lorena Canals Bannock Wool Washable Area Rug is an attempt to convey the feelings of peace, mysticism and positivism through artwork from the Hopi tribe. Each rug is handcrafted one by one by artisans using neutral and hippie colours. This Bannock Wool Washable Area rug was inspired by the artisanal emblematic teepees that are representative of the Hopi tribe. It signifies soul, harmony and wisdom. Each symbol or pattern found on the rug is not just a decorative element but also carries a message in relation to the history and values of the tribe.
This round Bannock Wool Washable Area Rug carries a Bohemian design with peek-through elements that expose the underlying natural coloured canvas. The subtle colours of Sandstone brown, Moonlight beige and Almond frost white pile creates a piece that is inviting, cozy and calming. The Bannock area rug is finished with hand knotted braids that adds a touch of whimsiness to the entire design.
The Woolable collection by Lorena Canals is the first wool rug collection ever designed to be washable at home in a domestic washing machine. Never has this existed in the history of rug making. The convenience this brings is huge to many households who have pets or small children. Rugs by Roo is all about sustainability and conscious living, and this collection meets all these requirements on top of the beautiful designs and colours.
