KIPP Collection Review 2026: Clelia Knits, Baby Footies, Coming-Home Sets and Sizing
Last updated: October 2026
The short answer: KIPP Collection is worth buying for two things: the gray Clelia wool jumper dress and ribbed turtleneck for girls (sizes 2 to 16, $103 plus $36), and the velour footie-and-hat sets that make the easiest newborn gift at $58, or $88 with the matching blanket. Everything is sized newborn through 16 (20 on some girls' pieces) and priced from $21 for a footie to $172, with half of all pieces between $38 and $72.
KIPP runs two lines under one name: a baby layette of footies, bonnets, blankets and knit sets, and a kids' line of wool jumpers, sweaters, velvet dresses and blazers. This review walks through both, line by line, then the sizing from the brand's own garment charts, what the listings do and do not say about fabric and care, the honest complaints, and who should shop elsewhere.
Buy it for: the Clelia jumper and turtleneck ($139 for the outfit), the Kenny and Elliot sweaters ($63), velvet and floral Nola dresses ($103), the Sol velvet blazer and Roy slim pants for boys ($71 and $54), and the footie, hat and blanket coming-home sets ($88).
Skip it for: anything where you need a fiber percentage or care instructions before you buy, summer-weight baby clothes (nearly every footie is velour), and full-size crib bedding (the crib sets are mini-crib size).
Sizing: the charts are garment measurements, so a jumper that measures 23 inches long is a size 4 whatever the age label; 3X and 6X are real half-steps.
KIPP Clelia jumper, turtleneck and skirt: the set people search for
The Clelia Jumper ($103) is a sleeveless pleated wool jumper dress in gray with a small embroidered logo at the hem, cut on the brand's jumper chart from size 2 to size 16: 18.5 inches long with a 10.5-inch chest at size 2, 40 inches long with a 17.25-inch chest at size 16. It is the piece behind most of the searches that bring people to KIPP, and in person it is a school-photo dress, not a play dress.
Buy the Clelia Turtleneck ($36, ribbed, in charcoal or gray) in the same size as the jumper: the long-sleeve-tee chart and the jumper chart are within three-quarters of an inch of each other at the chest from size 2 to size 16, so the layer sits flat underneath. The turtleneck chart continues to sizes 18 and 20, which the jumper does not. At the time of writing the gray jumper's size menu shows 10, 12 and 14 and the gray turtleneck only an 18; the navy Sienna Dotted Turtleneck ($36, polka dot) is cut on the same chart in sizes 2 to 16 and is the layer to buy under a chestnut or navy jumper.
Two pieces complete the group. The Clelia Skirt ($71) is the same pleated gray wool as a zip-closure skirt, listed in sizes 8 to 20, for a child who has outgrown jumpers but not the look. The Sienna Pinafore Jumper ($103, wool, in chestnut or navy) swaps the pleats for scallop-edge straps and is the choice for a younger sister, since its listing starts at size 2. Both are dry-wear wool: no care instructions are printed on the listings, so read the sewn-in label before the first wash.
KIPP sweaters and cardigans: Kenny, Elliot, Franck and Samantha
KIPP's kids' sweaters are all $63 to $67 and all cut on one of two charts. The boys' sweater chart runs from 12M (10.25-inch chest, 13.75 inches long) to size 16 (17.25-inch chest, 22.75 inches long), so a Kenny Textured Sweater ($63, textured knit stitch, ribbed cuffs, chestnut or navy) bought for a toddler is the same garment, pattern for pattern, that an older brother wears at size 12. The Elliot Cable Knit Sweater ($63, chunky cable crewneck in slate, listed 3 to 16) is the dressier of the two and the one to pair with the Roy slim pants for a holiday card.
For a child who will not pull a crewneck over their head, the Franck Knit Sweater ($63) is a lightweight snap-front cardigan with an embroidered logo, in charcoal or navy, and the Kenny 2 Toned Cardigan is the button version. Girls get the Samantha Cardigan ($67): a chunky pointelle knit with bow closures down the front, in blue or mustard, on the girls' sweater chart from size 2 (11-inch chest) to size 20 (18.5-inch chest). The Lyla Bow Pointelle Cardigan is the same idea in oatmilk, chocolate, taupe and blue for toddlers.
What to know before you buy: every sweater listing names the knit (cable, pointelle, textured stitch, ribbed) but none names the fiber. If your child reacts to wool, you cannot rule it out from the page. Our kids' sweaters and layers guide covers the cardigans and fleeces that do state their fiber.
KIPP dresses and skirts: Nola velvet, Nola floral, Leslie and Samantha
The Nola Velvet Dress ($103) is a soft velvet dress with a collar and button closure, in blue, mustard or navy, on the long-sleeve dress chart from size 2 to size 16 (18.5 inches to 40 inches long). It is the KIPP piece to buy for a December photo: the velvet reads as formal in a picture and the button back means no zipper against the skin. The Nola Floral Dress ($103, chocolate or mustard) is the same cut in a printed fabric the listing calls soft-feel, and the Lyla Floral Dress is the toddler version in a pale blue print.
The Samantha Dress ($103) is not a dress in the usual sense: the listing calls it a wool plaid pleated jumper with a back zipper, in blue or mustard, listed from size 3 to 16, and it needs a blouse or turtleneck underneath. It is the plaid alternative to the gray Clelia for a family that wants two sisters in different jumpers from the same chart.
Skirts are where KIPP covers the widest age span. The Leslie Wool Skirt ($71) is a wool plaid with front pleats, a pocket and a side zipper, in caramel, cranberry or gray, and the Samantha Skirt ($76) is the pleated wool match to the Samantha jumper. Both sit on the knee-length skirt chart from size 3 to size 20, where the waist is a maximum (19.25 inches at size 3, 30.5 inches at size 20) because every skirt hides an elastic for a cinched fit. That elastic is the detail that lets a size 8 skirt survive a growth spurt that a fixed-waist skirt would not.
For twirl dresses and cotton play dresses in the same sizes, our girls' holiday dresses guide is the better starting point; KIPP does not make a short-sleeve or knit dress.
KIPP for boys: blazers, shirts, slim pants and the sherpa jacket
The Roy Dress Slim Pants ($54) are the boys' line's workhorse: a slim-fit dress pant in a stretch fabric, in nine colors from black and navy to caramel and chocolate, on the boys' pants chart from size 2 (20-inch all-around waist, 18.75 inches long) to size 14 (27.25-inch waist, 37 inches long). Stretch is the reason to choose them over a rigid dress pant for a child who has to sit through a ceremony.
Two blazers, two fabrics. The Sol Blazer ($71) is double-breasted velvet in blue, multi plaid or navy; the Ollie Blazer ($71) is single-breasted wool in gray with gray trim and an embroidered logo, and the Franck Blazer brings the same cut in cranberry or gray. All sit on the blazer chart from size 2 (11.75-inch chest) to size 14 (17.5-inch chest). Underneath, the Sol Stripe Shirt ($50) is a button-down in mustard, taupe or white listed from 18M to 12, and the Kenny Shirt ($50) is a navy plaid with a mandarin collar, which is the one to buy for a boy who hates a buttoned collar.
For the cold months the Kenny Sherpa Jacket ($84, chocolate, navy or vanilla) is a collared, buttoned sherpa on the jacket chart from 12M to 14, and the Kenny Harem Pants cover 6M to size 5 with an elastic waist measured relaxed on the chart. The brand's own harem pant size guide lists the same measurements as the EasyTot product page.
KIPP baby footies and footie-and-hat sets
The baby line is where most of the catalog lives, and it starts at $42 for a single footie: a wrap-front velour sleeper with snaps and closed feet, listed from newborn to 12M with a few styles to 18M. Each print is a small family. Petit Ours is a striped-bear embroidery, Petits Amis a duck-and-bunny print, Woodland Toile a forest scene, Fur Ever Yours a bear motif, Ciel Enfant a hot-air balloon, Whinny a rocking horse, and Atelier Cable a cable-knit print on velour. The Ciel Enfant Wrap Footie is $21 in 6M to 12M, the lowest price on a KIPP footie.
The $58 footie-and-hat sets add a matching bonnet: Patchwork, Classic Bib, Mon Bebe, Bebe Pointelle, Ciel Enfant Gingham and Whinny Plaid, the last of which is one of only three KIPP listings that say machine washable (a cotton blend, with an embroidered horse). The brand's baby chart gives a 9-inch chest and 12.75-inch length at 3M, 10.5 inches and 15 inches at 12M, and 11.5 inches and 16.5 inches at 24M, so you can size a gift from a footie the baby already wears rather than from the birth weight.
The honest limit: velour is a napped, warm fabric. For a baby born in June, choose the Petits Amis Terry Footie or the Mon Bebe cotton pointelle pieces over the velour, or look at the lighter bodysuits in our newborn onesies guide.
KIPP coming-home sets: footie, hat and blanket for $88
A KIPP coming-home set is the footie, the bonnet and a matching blanket in the same print, listed in NB, 3M and 6M at $88 (the Stripe Stamp version with a quilted blanket is $96). The Woodland Toile set comes in blue, pink, rose and taupe; Atelier Cable in blue, pink and white; Mon Bebe D'amour, Fur Ever Yours, Atelier Bunny, Petite Petal, Whispering Blooms, Petits Amis, Bebe Pointelle, Whinny Wrap and Kb Logo complete the lineup. The Mon Bebe set is the one to pick for a summer baby: its footie is cotton pointelle rather than velour.
Why the blanket matters: the hospital photo and the car-seat photo are the two pictures that get framed, and a matching blanket is what makes a $42 footie look like an outfit in both. Choose NB only for a baby expected under about 8 pounds; the 3M in this line is cut for a 9-inch chest, and a set the baby grows into in two weeks is worth more than one worn once. KIPP sells an $8 gift wrap for layette orders only, which is the cheapest way to make the set arrive as a present. For sets from other brands at other prices, see our baby gift sets guide and the wider baby gift sets collection.
KIPP matching knit sets for babies and siblings
The knit sets are a sweater or cardigan with matching leggings, and one detail in every listing decides the size: the leggings have closed feet through 6M and open feet from 9M up. The Bunny Knit Set With Hat ($88) is a ribbed cardigan with a sherpa bunny and buttons, leggings and a bonnet, in gray, red or rose; the Bunny Knit Set without the hat is $72 and runs to size 3.
The sibling trick is that three of the baby sets share a pattern with a big-kid sweater. The Kenny Textured Knit Set ($76, 9M to 18M, chestnut or navy) matches the Kenny Textured Sweater (12M to 16); the Elliot Cable Knit Set matches the Elliot Cable Knit Sweater; the Samantha Knit Set ($68, chunky pointelle with a shoulder bow) matches the Samantha Cardigan; and the Cynthia Knit Set ($76, collar and buttons, in caramel, charcoal, gray or cranberry) matches the Cynthia Knit Top. Buy the set for the baby and the sweater for the older child and the photo coordinates without being a uniform. Our matching sets and rompers guide covers the cotton versions from other brands.
KIPP crib sets, bassinet sheets, blankets and teddies
Read the dimensions before you buy KIPP bedding. The Mon Bebe Mini 4pc Crib Set ($160) is a pointelle pillow sham with a ruffle, a pre-filled comforter and two fitted sheets sized 24 by 38 by 5 inches: that is a mini-crib mattress, not the 28-by-52-inch standard crib, and the set will not fit a full-size crib. The Atelier Cable Fitted Bassinet Sheet ($24, blue, pink or taupe) fits a 38-by-22-inch bassinet mattress; the Ciel Enfant and Whinny Plaid sheets are the same size in other prints. For standard cribs, our crib sheets guide and the crib sheets collection are the places to look.
The Patchwork Blanket is the one KIPP textile that states its fiber: a cotton-and-polyester quilt, about 50 by 60 inches, machine washable. For a gift under $40, the Fur Ever Yours Teddy ($36) is a plush bear with a striped bow tie that the listing says comes packaged, in blue, pink, red or taupe; the Ciel Enfant and Starry Dreams rattles and the Petits Amis plush are the under-$40 companions to a footie in the same print. The Ali, Dani, Joey and Louise dolls round out the soft toys. Blankets from other brands, including the muslins KIPP does not make, are in our baby blankets guide.

How does KIPP sizing run?
KIPP sizing runs on garment measurements, not age labels: every product page carries a chart of the finished garment's length and chest (or waist) in inches and centimeters, so the honest way to size it is to measure a piece your child already wears and match the number. The ladder is NB, 3M, 6M, 9M, 12M, 18M and 24M for babies, then 2, 3, 3X, 4, 5, 6, 6X, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 for kids, with 18 and 20 on girls' skirts, turtlenecks and sweaters only. 3X and 6X are genuine half-steps: on the jumper chart a size 3 is 19.5 inches long, a 3X is 21 and a 4 is 23.
| Size | Jumper / dress length | Jumper chest | Boys' sweater chest | Boys' pants waist (all around) | Skirt waist (max) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 18.5 in | 10.5 in | 11.25 in | 20 in | see 3 |
| 3 | 19.5 in | 11 in | 11.75 in | 20.5 in | 19.25 in |
| 3X | 21 in | 11.5 in | 12 in | 21.25 in | 19.75 in |
| 4 | 23 in | 11.75 in | 12.25 in | 21.5 in | 20 in |
| 5 | 24.25 in | 12.25 in | 12.75 in | 22.25 in | 20.75 in |
| 6 | 25.75 in | 12.75 in | 13.25 in | 23 in | 21.5 in |
| 6X | 27.25 in | 13.25 in | 13.75 in | 23.75 in | 22.25 in |
| 7 | 29.25 in | 13.75 in | 14.25 in | 24.25 in | 22.75 in |
| 8 | 31.25 in | 14.25 in | 14.75 in | 25 in | 23.75 in |
| 10 | 33.25 in | 15 in | 15.25 in | 25.75 in | 24.75 in |
| 12 | 35.25 in | 15.75 in | 15.75 in | 26.5 in | 26 in |
| 14 | 37.25 in | 16.5 in | 16.5 in | 27.25 in | 27.25 in |
| 16 | 40 in | 17.25 in | 17.25 in | n/a | 28.5 in |
Measurements above are the brand's garment charts as published on the EasyTot product pages and on the brand's jumper size guide; the skirt waist is a maximum because of the hidden elastic, and the pants waist is the all-around measurement. For babies, the footie and bubble chart gives a 9-inch chest at 3M, 10 inches at 9M, 10.5 inches at 12M, 11 inches at 18M and 11.5 inches at 24M. Boys' shirts and sweaters begin at 12M with an 11.25-inch and 10.25-inch chest respectively, and the knit overalls run 6M to 3 with the waistband measured relaxed.
Three practical rules from the charts. First, the length steps are large above size 6 (about 2 inches per size on the jumper), so if a child is between sizes, size down on a jumper that will be worn over a turtleneck and up on a dress worn alone. Second, boys' sweaters add roughly half an inch of chest per size, which is why a child can wear the same size for two winters. Third, the knit sets switch from closed to open feet at 9M, so a 9M set bought for a 6-month-old will have bare feet.
Fabric and care: what the listings say, and what they do not
Every KIPP listing names a fabric family and almost none names a fiber. The layette is described as velour on nearly every footie, set and bonnet, with cotton pointelle on the Mon Bebe pieces, a cotton blend on the Whinny Plaid footie set, and terry on the Petits Amis Terry Footie. The kids' line is wool on the Clelia, Samantha and Sienna jumpers, the Leslie and Samantha skirts and the Ollie Blazer; velvet on the Sol Blazer and the Nola Velvet Dress; sherpa on the Kenny jacket; and a stretch fabric on the Roy pants. The one piece that gives a composition is the Patchwork Blanket: cotton and polyester.
Care instructions appear on three listings (the Patchwork Blanket, the Whinny Plaid Footie and Hat Set and one Mon Bebe footie say machine washable) and on none of the wool or velvet pieces. Until you have read the sewn-in label, treat the wool jumpers, skirts and the Ollie Blazer as dry-clean or hand-wash, and the velvet Sol Blazer and Nola dress the same way; a napped fabric that goes through a hot dryer once does not come back. The velour layette is the practical exception in daily use, since a footie that cannot be washed is not a footie, but wash the first one cold and flat-dry before you trust the rest of the set to the machine.
If a stated fiber content matters to you, for a wool allergy or for a school uniform code, KIPP is the wrong brand to buy from a listing alone; email the brand first or choose a piece from our baby clothing brands guide that states it.
Where to buy KIPP Collection
EasyTot carries the KIPP layette, knit sets, bedding, soft toys and the full kids' line of jumpers, sweaters, dresses, skirts, blazers and pants, in newborn through size 20, with US shipping, on the KIPP Collection page. The brand's own site, kippcollection.com, describes the label as "high quality childrenswear with a European flair" and lists customer service hours in Eastern time; it does not state where the garments are made.
Sizes come and go on the most-searched pieces, and the gray Clelia jumper is the clearest case: at the time of writing three sizes are on the menu. If the jumper in your child's size is the reason you are here, buy it when you see it; the Sienna and Samantha jumpers on the same chart are the fallback.
The honest complaints
KIPP has no customer reviews on our site yet across any of its products, so what follows comes from the listings, the brand's charts and the photography, not from parent reviews. These are the things to know before spending $103 on a jumper or $88 on a coming-home set.
The price of the outfit, not the piece. The Clelia Jumper is $103 and needs a $36 turtleneck, so the search-result outfit is $139; a Sol Blazer, Sol Stripe Shirt and Roy pants come to $175. The layette is better value piece for piece, but a coming-home set at $88 is still a sleeper the baby wears for six weeks.
No fiber content and no care instructions on most listings. Covered above. For a $103 wool dress it is a real gap, and it means you cannot rule out a wool-blend reaction or a dry-clean-only label before ordering.
Thin size menus on the pieces people search for. The gray Clelia Jumper and Turtleneck are the most-searched KIPP products and the ones with the fewest sizes on offer today. The chart promises 2 to 16; the menu does not always deliver it. Check the size dropdown before you fall for the photo.
Velour is a winter fabric. Nearly every footie and set is velour, which is lovely in November and too warm for a July newborn in a car seat. The terry and cotton pointelle pieces are the warm-weather choices, and there are far fewer of them.
Mini-crib bedding only. The 4-piece crib sets are 24 by 38 inches. If you have a standard 28-by-52-inch crib, the sheets will not fit and the set is not for you.
Logos on the layette. The Kb Logo line prints the brand mark on the footie, blanket and bonnet, and several other prints carry a small logo patch. For a plain gift, choose Atelier Cable, Ciel Enfant or the Mon Bebe pointelle pieces, which keep the branding to a tag.
How KIPP compares
The closest match on EasyTot is Cottier, which makes the same category of pleated wool jumper, pinafore and cable knit in sizes 2 to 16 at $38 to $118. Cottier's jumper is $118 to KIPP's $103, Cottier publishes garment charts the same way, and neither states fiber content. The difference is the baby line: Cottier has almost nothing below size 2, while KIPP's footies, sets and bedding start at newborn, so KIPP is the brand to pick when a baby and a 6-year-old need to match. Our Cottier review covers its jumpers and the drawstring question on its zip-up.
Hope & Henry is the budget route to the same collared, cable-knit look, with most pieces between about $21 and $49 and sizes from baby up; it does not make wool jumpers or velvet blazers. Lovely Littles is a print-led baby and kids' label, strongest under age two, for families who want prints rather than plaids; our Lovely Littles review explains its two size ladders. For velour-free newborn layette, Angel Dear is the brand EasyTot shoppers cross-shop against KIPP's footies, and it is covered in the baby clothing brands guide.
Who should buy KIPP, and who should skip it
Buy KIPP if you want one wool jumper or velvet dress that photographs like a formal outfit and lasts two seasons, a boys' blazer-and-slim-pants set under $130, or a newborn gift where the footie, bonnet and blanket match in the box. The Clelia Jumper with the Sienna Dotted Turtleneck, the Nola Velvet Dress, the Sol Blazer with Roy pants, and the Woodland Toile coming-home set are the four purchases to start with.
Skip KIPP if you need a fiber percentage or wash instructions before you buy, you are dressing a summer newborn, you have a standard-size crib, or you are outfitting several children on a budget. Hope & Henry covers the last; a cotton footie from our newborn onesies guide covers the summer baby.
Bottom line: KIPP Collection is the rare label that dresses a newborn and a 14-year-old from the same photo shoot, with sizing charts honest enough to shop from and two gaps, fiber content and thin size menus on its most-searched pieces, that you should check before you click.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is KIPP Collection good quality?
KIPP Collection is a mid-to-premium kids' and layette label: wool jumpers at $103, velour footies at $42 and footie-hat-blanket sets at $88, with a published garment-measurement chart for every size. The listings name the fabric (wool, velour, velvet, cotton pointelle) but not a fiber percentage, and KIPP has no customer reviews on our site yet, so judge it by the fabric named, the measurements and the price rather than by a star rating.
How does KIPP sizing run?
KIPP publishes garment measurements, not age guesses. The jumper and dress chart runs from size 2 (18.5 inches long, 10.5-inch chest) to size 16 (40 inches long, 17.25-inch chest), with 3X and 6X as real half-steps; boys' sweaters and shirts start at 12M; footies and knit sets run NB to 24M. Measure a garment that fits your child and match it to the chart on the product page.
Where is KIPP Collection made?
Neither the KIPP product listings nor the brand's own site state a country of manufacture. The brand describes itself as childrenswear with a European flair and lists US-based customer service hours. If the country of origin matters to you, check the sewn-in label or ask the brand before ordering.
Is the KIPP Clelia jumper a dress or a sweater?
The Clelia Jumper is a sleeveless pleated wool jumper dress, not a pullover. It is designed to be worn over the ribbed Clelia Turtleneck ($36) or the navy Sienna Dotted Turtleneck ($36), and the matching Clelia Skirt ($71) is the same pleated gray wool as a separate.
What sizes do KIPP footies come in?
KIPP footies and footie-and-hat sets are listed from newborn through 12M, with a few styles to 18M. The brand's chart gives a 9-inch chest at 3M and a 10.5-inch chest at 12M. Most are wrap-front velour with snap closures; the Whinny Plaid and Mon Bebe styles are cotton blend or cotton pointelle.
Does KIPP make matching sets for siblings?
Yes. Several baby knit sets share their pattern with a big-kid sweater: the Kenny Textured Knit Set (9M to 18M) matches the Kenny Textured Sweater (12M to 16), the Elliot Cable Knit Set matches the Elliot Cable Knit Sweater, and the Samantha Knit Set matches the Samantha Cardigan. Buy the set for the baby and the sweater for the older child.
