Very well made, and the wood feels smooth as butter. Easy to assemble.
Decorating the interior with wallpaper and flooring may be a challenge if I should want them to meet, because there are strips of wood between those surfaces. (and they're not like baseboards).I doubt if children would care much, but it would make the house less suitable for an adult collector.

We purchased this in late summer 2021 based on the description and a trust that plan toys was living up to their non-toxic claims. When putting the second piece together with the first, the first fell over and broke wherein we discovered that almost all the wood was MDF composite. It also had a strong offgassing smell. We glued the broken piece and finished putting the doll house together. We set it outside for a week. It still smelled very strongly of chemicals. Because of this, I went on to plan toys website and looked at the spec sheet for the EU. the American spec sheet was not available. It turns out that there are a number of heavy metals that were used in the lacquer and paint on this product. Manganese, lead, chromium iii, and on. They did not use soy dyes or water-based paint. For some reason, is tin in the fabric of the beds. And again, most of the wood was an MDF composite. Who knows what’s actually in the glue? My throat hurt after assembling it in a room that had open windows and doors.
It’s appalling that plan toys claims that this is a non-toxic product when it actually has heavy metals in the paint and fabrics and now, 14 days later, still reeks of factory glue.

This is a well made dollhouse and not cheap material. Daddy or Mommy will have to sit down with a cup of coffee for about 45 minutes to put together. The instructions aren't really detailed but if you lay out all of the parts ahead of time you can put it all together with the pics.

it is indeed a hit with my child and the "green elements" is very good educational tool.
Only thing is some small parts were broken in the package.

Easy to put together with a screw gun took my husband 30 min total! Looks fantastic too!!!!

I asked a question on here about whether or not it was a good toy for my 2 year old. The answers were that it would not be a good toy but I'm glad I got it for her anyway! She plays with it every single day multiple times a day. She had recently started to enjoy imaginative play with her baby dolls and things so this doll house really nurtures that desire. It's a very cute doll house and large enough that my 5 year old god daughter enjoys playing with it as well. Our daughter hasn't broken anything on it yet (our dog got a hold of the windmill though and chewed that stick to shreds) and she's had it for a few months. It fell off the table once and nothing broke on it luckily. The roofs come off easily so that you can access the inside better but my daughter mostly plays with the roofs on.
The reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the center frame piece isn't solid wood. It's some sort of pressed stuff and it split while I was screwing it to the base. I barely used any pressure while doing this and it split almost instantly.

Sending this back. Broke when we were just putting it together. Not sure how sturdy it is. Totally bummed! Pretty expensive for what we got.
