Educational history magazine loved by children ages 7-13 for engaging storytelling and approachable content. Customers said it "informs instead of overwhelms" with excellent graphics. Popular for homeschooling and bedtime reading. Some noted content may be advanced for younger kids or too cartoon-like for teens, with topics like WWII coverage praised.

We LOVE these magazines and now have just about all of them. I have gifted them to my nephew too - I hope he's enjoying them as much as my 9yo daughter. She references things she's learned in our every day life - the first time we were watched the Disney movie Anastasia, she perked up and said "I know this story!" then dug out the relevant magazine.

My first grader has truly loved reading this magazine with me, we are excited for our bedtime read every day. I appreciate how approachable the content has been for them, while also offering us a chance to have more meaningful conversations on topics that can become very deep.

My 7 year old loves getting these in the mail. She loves history and studying different cultures. These have been a staple for extracurricular learning in our homeschooling as well as “just for fun” reading. Highly recommended.

Honest History

We just started our subscription with Honest History, but the reviews from our staff and patrons has been very encouraging. The graphics, combined with a level of content that informs instead of overwhelms, has made the first few issues of Honest History a welcome addition to our collection. Peace.

So good.

We homeschool and this is the perfect supplement to take in the car or to read together on the weekend. It’s so good knowing we are touching on topics we probably wouldn’t in our curriculum.

Some topics are excellent. Important ones left out.

A nice treatment overall. I would have liked to find something on Naziism. But kudos for introducing Japanese-American internment.

Getting my son to read can be a challenge, but he loved reading the stories of bravery, sacrifice, and danger, and telling me all about them!

My child found it too cartoon-ish but I may not have read the appropriate age range for this. He is 13 and loves history.

My grandson, who I am homeschooling and who is 9 years old is extremely interested in history and WWII in particular. This magazine was awesome. We were able to cover the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters as well as Pearl Harbor (where his great uncle was present) as well as the internment camps in the USA which is not a part of US history generally discussed. I like that we can teach all history and not just part of it. He was also extremely interested in all of this! Thank you!
