helped my grandson

I keep my 3 year old grandson 2 days a week and find I am parenting again. One day he was doing something potentially dangerous and would not stop. Feeling scared of how he could get hurt, I told him he would be punished if he did it again--meaning a 3-4 minute time out. "And then I would lose a little bit of love," he replied, and he repeated that statement 2 more times during the conversation, Throughout the next few days, I had talks with him about my loving him "as big as everything," no matter what he ever did. And then I ordered The Tree of Goodness book and read it to him as soon as it arrived, emphasizing that the tree was made out of good JUST LIKE HE IS. He repeated this during the day--"Even if I do something bad, I am still good." He has never been overly affectionate with me, but when his dad came to pick him up that day, he hugged me really tight and said, "I love you SO MUCH!"

Connect with the trees

This is important to share the wisdom of the trees with our smallies. They are sponges at this age and we need to move forward protecting their innocence and helping them to remember their divinity.

Awesome book about the innate goodness of one's being

I love reading these books. The lessons in them are for children and adults too, loving reminders of how we forget how perfectly and wonderfully we are created and are just innately good without having to do anything to prove that. Thank you Andrew for another great book.

Great self esteem/confidence book

Love the book. Short and too the point. Great for kids who get bullied about themselves. Seems targeted more towards 4+ age groups to around 8 year olds.
