Perfect Washable sponge

I love how there is the fabric backing for the non-stick pan coatings, and the scrubber mesh for things that need to be really scrubbed off. I have several. Started with the Christmas designs and have added others for the rest of the year. I also have given them as gifts because I really love them. They can go in the wash for a refresh.

Nuts about this sponge

I'm on my third reusable sponge over several years. They are practically immortal if you don't 1) use them to clean the sharp edge of knives or 2) microwave when dry. Each week now I pop my sponge (soaking wet, on a plate) in the microwave for 2 minutes, then throw it in with the laundry. It NEVER acquires the stinky aroma of a "regular" sponge! No turning back.

So happy I ordered these!

I had purchased the reusable ‘paper’ towels, love them and feel good using them. I can’t image what took me so long to buy the reusable dish scrubbers, I’m so delighted with them. They scrub up my dishes perfectly and I feel great using them. No more waiting until a disposable scrubber is getting stained or stinky, I simply wash these every week with my laundry. Loving my washable sponge! Being able to throw it in the washing machine makes cleaning it super easy, and it’s much less gross than a regular sponge. I also like that the materials are compostable after it’s worn out. Not great for cleaning knives/sharp things, but the packaging warns about this, so no surprise there. Also love that there’s an option for a dark backing color, so it doesn’t look as dirty during day to day use!

A huge upgrade!

I was skeptical that these sponges would be an adequate replacement for my normal disposable ones, and I am happy to report I have been proven wrong! They work even better than the typical sponge, and they are so easy to wash that I never deal with that nasty mildewy smell that used to take over the disposable ones. I keep 3 on hand so that I can rotate and wash them frequently, and they are mostly holding up over time (a few snags in the netting but it has yet to impact their efficacy). 100% worth it!
