Leche was founded by breastfeeding mothers and milk donors who believe every family deserves better access to breast milk. The company offers shelf-stable powdered donor milk, sourced from medically screened U.S. donors and pasteurized, tested and freeze-dried in an FDA-registered facility. It also runs a freeze-drying service that turns a parent's own frozen milk into powder with a 3-year shelf life. Leche says it is the only U.S. freeze-drying service that tests each batch of milk for bacteria before processing. Its Milkdrop program pays donors fairly for the milk they give. Leche's goal is to give families more flexibility, not to replace breastfeeding.
