I already had the bigger version but it was too big for my kids lunch. This one is the perfect size! Pre-heat with boiling water and keeps stuff hot for hours without leaking!

I've been using these products for years in the woods. We have soup daily during winter months here in New Hampshire, and the only way to do that so that you get a warm meal everyday is soup in my Kanteen! Excellent product.

Love what the container is made from. Easy to clean. BUT- I got it for my kid to use in his lunch box and he cannot open it. . even if just else to turn the lid when I park his lunch. I can’t even open it, my husband had to. I’m so sad about it

Don’t let the smaller size fool you, this 16 oz TKCanister is just as useful as the 32 oz version. I have both and the 16 oz is more packable yet still holds a good amount of yogurt and berries for example. I plan to use this mostly for keeping foods cold and am excited to have the ability to take ice cream on the go.

Overall the thermos is great. It's hard to open by the time lunch comes around and a vacuum forms from the little bit of air that cools and pulls down the lid. The 3 part lid all goes into the dishwasher, but it's a bit of a pain to disassemble and reassemble every day vs other thermoses we have that have a one piece lid. Getting the 3 lid pieces down to 2 would be awesome.

Love this canister! It holds quite a bit of food and stays warm for several hours. My only complaint is the silicon retains a lot of smells.

Wide mouth for easy access to contents and cleaning.
No secret nooks and crannies to obscure proper cleaning.
Great for a middle school athlete/ aspiring chef to pack specialty lunches.

I am also looking forward to using it to carry frozen treats for summer trips.

I have tried it twice with preheating the container with boiling water and over-heating my food, yet by lunchtime the food was only a little warm. This really doesn’t seem to be well insulated at all. I have other klean kanteen thermoses that work well, so I am surprised and disappointed.

The thermos container maintains the food at a great temperature, if not, the same temperature as when it was placed in.
The lid, it great for a no spill experience, seals tightly.
Personally, I wouldn't purchase this for a kid younger than 10 as it can be trick to open, as the lid closes tightly.
I purchased this for my 5-year-old cold lunch, but realize since there is no bottom grip, he would have a difficult time opening the container. Regardless the container is great and can be used for myself or when we are on the run, as the handle on the top lid is great for carrying the container.

Bought this for taking hot meals to work in an office setting. My first test was pouring in a near boiling soup and sealing the canister immediately. Outside of the canister was cool to the touch. Some heat could be felt near the lid, but not much. I left it out at room temperature for exactly four hours before eating. Soup was still very hot, almost uncomfortably so. Cleanup is a breeze. The wide-mouth canister cleans well and the metal doesn’t retain any food smell. There is a sturdy, removable silicone gasket that covers the entirety of the lid touching any food. It is easily removed, making the lid easy to clean. The silicone did retain a hint of the food smell, but that is to be expected. There is also a rim gasket at the top of the lid. I don’t see how if these are properly seated that there could be any leaks as another reviewer noted. Any leaks would be a missing/faulty gasket or user error. Great design and very sturdy. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Leaky and poor insulation. Soup was boiling when I put it in at 7:30am. What didn't end up at the bottom of my backpack was tepid by lunch.

Works well and keeps warm (or cold). However, at times opening the lid can be a challenge. But nothing that a little elbow grease wouldn't open.

My favorite size. I purchased this when it first launched and I also have their first edition canisters as well. I do love they have a handle, but I find myself using my original canisters every day due to the portable size and full stainless steel.

Everyone needs this. Great for soup or other hot foods. Keeps my lunch hot until reach to eat. Doesn’t spill easy to clean. Dishwasher safe

It’s handy and easy to carry to my lunch site, but it doesn’t keep things hot. I put in a can of soup at 164F, three hours later the soup was 120F, that’s quite a drop. It was still warm enough to eat, but this was inside a building, if I were to take it outside where the temp is 30-deg lower I would question if it would be warm enough to eat.
