Klean Kanteen traces back to inventor Robert Seals, who prototyped the first reusable stainless steel water bottle in the US with materials from his local hardware store and founded the company in Chico, California in 2004 — offering a safer, more sustainable alternative to single-use plastic, free of aluminum and BPA liners. Today the range spans bottles, tumblers, kid and toddler cups, insulated food jars and all the caps and straws to match, and the company walks its talk: Climate Neutral Certified since 2020, with more than $4.4 million donated to environmental non-profits through 1% for the Planet since 2008.
