This is an interesting board game were there is a story line to follow. Comes with an adventure book, stickers, and fun characters. There is quite a bit of reading to do were younger kids may not have the patience for it and the instructions were easy to follow. The game was long were it kept kids busy while having fun. This is a great board game for family game time and the quality of the set is great.

My kids and I have so much fun playing this wonderful board game. It's a pretty long game and keeps the kids busy all while having fun. They bring it out every time their cousins are over and everyone has fun playing it. It is all well made, easy to follow the instructions as well.

I got this game for my kids because I have loved so many HABA games thus far. This one, however, is very complicated and required a ton of reading, set up, and management from an adult in order to play. The kids quickly got restless and it lost their attention after only a few minutes. The idera of this game has potential, but the actual play is too complicated for young children.

This game is interesting. Capt'n pepe Treasure Ahoy game is perfect for family of 4. My husband, son, daughter and I played this game together and both of us were having fun. While playing this game, both my daughter and son have great imagination, and both of them were cooperative, learned to take turns and more patient until we finished the game.

I am always impressed with the quality of HABA games. They are always well thought out and keep the attention of our kiddo. I think all of the game pieces are designed so well and aesthetically pleasing. I can’t believe how many hours of entertainment we are getting out of this. Our family has a tradition of playing 20-30 minutes of a board game every night after dinner. This game is divided up into perfect little chapters. Each chapter takes us about 15-20, so it is built perfectly for our after dinner entertainment. We have been working our way through the story for weeks. It is advertised for 6+. We are currently playing with our almost-5-year-old. She is pretty advanced and does well with understanding games, so I thought she would for sure be able to handle it as she usually can play up age categories. She is handling it for the most part, and it works well since it is cooperative, but it definitely challenges her. I would say the hardest thing with playing with younger kids is that it does have a decent bit of rules and reading to begin with, so holding the attention during that time was a little more challenging.

I've had the German made Haba Capt'n Pepe: Treasure Ahoy game for over a month. 3D game pieces, treasure Chests and ships. Wooden Crew figures of whimsical animals. The age is 6+, definitely. I'd even say 8 years would be a better age. There are story lines to follow. Capturing reward while fending off evil pirates. Comes with a book with 25 chapters.

This game is so much fun. The kids wanted to play it again and again. It's great for both boys and girls, and it keeps them interested so they can get through a whole game. It was fun for us adults to play with the kids, as well. I would highly recommend picking it up, it would make a great gift.

Got this as a gift for my niece. She loves different games that aren't the normal. Comes with cute adventure book and stickers so you can create your own treasure map and different adventures. Has several small pieces so definitely follow the age guidelines to avoid kids swallowing items. Bright colors, and fun characters.

I’m always looking for a fun family activity, and this game fit the bill. It was definitely different from other games we already had, and I was surprised at how engaging and enjoyable this little game was! My kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I would recommend if you have elementary age children.

This is one of a kind game for older kids. It is fun and will take a while to play. It required me to read through the instructions as I found them a bit confusing at first. The game has a lot of components to it and it will take some time to figure it out. Once that's done, the game will be fun to play along. It has many different variations depending which way you want to go. As far as physical game component, it is very well made. Each piece is made either of good quality thick cardboard or wood. Each detail is to the point and very cute. It is a fun family game everyone will love.

This game is extremely unique, very interesting and really exciting!! My kids have gone through so many card games and board games over the years, but this one seems to be instant classic! Each game they play we need to set things up differently, a while new objective and always do much uniqueness that it really never gets old. They also love the stickers and rewards. The overall story is also a great concept and the quality of the ship and oars etc really seem to be great!

Captain Pepe is a cooperative legacy game. My son has a very active imagination, so this toy is one of his favorites. He spends many hours playing with his friends and siblings. This game keeps him entertained by opening treasure chests, creating his own treasure book, and defeating Madame Goldtooth. I'm happy to see him enjoy his birthday gift.

I got this a little bit ago and just now opened it to try to play with my 6 and 5 year old nephews. There is A LOT going on with this game. Things to open, a ton of rules, not really something that can just be picked up and played with kids.

Our family was excited to try this Capt'n Pepe: Treasure Ahoy game from HABA but we were a little disappointed in it. It has several different playing pieces to it and it was quite confusing to some of the family. This game is just okay in my opinion and I just don't see us playing it too often.

I got this for my 7 year old- she really liked playing it! Was relatively easy to understand how to play- I would say 6 or 7 is a good age for playing it. My son who is 2 just wanted to knock over all the pieces although he did enjoy doing that!

This game is so much fun, not only for kids but the whole family! There are 25 chapters to get thru, and is very exciting. There are 7 treasure boxes, but don’t peak until you get one! There is a heavy duty cardboard boat with 5 wooden characters and five wooden oars! Also Captain Pepe is a round painted wooden ball! There is a treasure map and lots of stickers! You can even scan a code for help instead of the hour glass timer! This is a very fun game!

Very nice well made even the cardboard pieces are nice thicker material. Definitely will last a very long time even with kids. Love the amount of instructions it comes with too. Explains literally everything about the game.
